Funerals took place for Palestinians, including six children, who lost their lives in an Israeli air attack on Gaza’s Rafah. Meanwhile, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh had a meeting with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.

Israeli forces have been conducting raids in the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, causing significant casualties. The situation has been described as the “worst destruction in decades” by an Al Jazeera correspondent.

Iran’s foreign minister has issued a warning, stating that Iran will respond strongly if Israeli actions persist. This comes after reports of Iranian air defense systems shooting down three drones over Isfahan.

In response to the escalating tensions, Israeli forces have increased their presence near Rafah and have caused destruction to agricultural land in the eastern areas of the governorate.

The conflict has taken a heavy toll, with over 34,000 people killed and nearly 77,000 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. On the other side, the death toll in Israel from Hamas attacks on October 7 stands at 1,139, with many individuals held captive in Gaza.
