Police are currently investigating a case of murder-suicide in the Queens.
Police said a man fatally shot a woman sitting in a car a block from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park early Friday, then turned his gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide.
The unidentified woman victim who is believed to be in her 30s was found sitting in the passenger side of the parked car by the cops called to the corner of Crown St. and Franklin Ave. in Crown Heights at 5:15 a.m.
Cops said she had been shot once in the head and died at the scene.
Cops also found a man, believed to be in his 40s, sprawled out on the ground outside the car, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, cops said.
Police believe the man shot the woman in the car, then killed himself a few moments later.
The two died at the scene. Their names were not immediately disclosed as cops reached out to family members.
