Riyadh region police arrested four foreign nationals accused of swindling and seized over SR8 million. The arrests occurred after authorities discovered that the suspects were involved in illicit schemes, posing as providers of general services to scam unsuspecting victims.

The police raided a hideout in Riyadh, where they seized SR8,093,326 along with multiple devices used in the fraudulent operation. The items confiscated included numerous SIM cards, mobile phones, and a computer, which were instrumental in carrying out their schemes. Authorities believe that the suspects used these devices to lure victims by offering fake services, ultimately defrauding them of substantial sums of money.

Among the arrested individuals were a Yemeni resident and three Syrian nationals. The Syrians included two who were residing in Saudi Arabia on resident visas and one who entered the country on a visit visa. The suspects reportedly set up a residential unit in Riyadh to orchestrate their criminal activities, using various electronic devices to manipulate and deceive their victims.

In a statement released on Monday, Public Security confirmed the arrests and announced that legal measures had been taken against the suspects. The statement emphasized that the arrested individuals would face legal prosecution and have been handed over to the Public Prosecution for further investigation and processing.

The police operation underscores the commitment of Saudi authorities to combatting fraud and ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors. The significant amount of money seized during the raid serves as a stark reminder of the extent of these criminal activities and the importance of vigilant law enforcement efforts.

As investigations continue, authorities urge the public to exercise caution when dealing with unfamiliar services or individuals offering too-good-to-be-true opportunities. Riyadh police are determined to root out fraudulent practices and bring those responsible to justice.
