Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in UAE has provided food aid to about 32000 families in Madagascar.

The foundation explained that its delegation visited the capital of Madagascar on Thursday 27 February, 2020.

It said the visit was to implement the directives of the UAE’s leadership and buy the necessary foodstuff materials.

Upon its arrival, the delegation met with Colonel Elak Olivier Andriakaja, Executive Secretary of Madagascar’s National Office for Risk and Disaster Management to discuss how to adopt an aid distribution roadmap to targeted areas.

A delegation from the Foundation then began providing humanitarian aid to around 32,000 families in Madagascar.

“The aid is in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. And it was supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,” the foundation said in a statement.

“The support was directly monitored by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and President of the Foundation,” it added.
