Tanzania has won the best international wildlife destination.

The country achieved the feat ahead of its wildlife tourism rivals, South Africa and Kenya, in OLTA’s 2020 edition in New Delhi, on Sunday.

Tanzania continues to maintain its status as one of the world’s best tourism destinations. And, this is coming after receiving the Best International Wildlife Destination award at the Outlook Travellers Awards (OLTA) in India.

Tanzania High Commissioner to India, Mr Baraka Luanda, said the award would elevate the country’s status as one of the best global travel destinations.

“We believe that this award will make people know about destination Tanzania. Apart from that, they will know what it has to offer as one of Africa’s leading travel destination,” he said.

Moreso, he assured the delegates at the event that Tanzania would not relent. Instead, it would market its tourism destinations. In addition, it will tap from emerging markets from the traditional ones.
