THE IGNORANCE OF SELF DESTRUCTION DUE TO TAKING YOUR LIFE (SUICIDE MISSIONS)

 

Alhamdulillah

The use by any Muslim or Non Muslim to exhaust a practice of suicide for military, political or self interpretation due to hardship is “100% Haram” (unlawful) in Islam. The Sharia (Islamic Law) is very strict on this matter and even emphasizes strong punishments for anyone that commits such sins using such tactics.

ALLAH states in the Quran

And do not throw yourselves into destruction by your own hands. Surah Baqarah 2:195

And do not kill yourselves. Indeed, ALLAH is merciful to you all. Surah Nisa 4:29

In a witnessed and authentic saying of Muhammed (sallahu alayhi wa salam) it is recorded the following;

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah (RA) in which he said that Allāh’s messenger (sallahu alayhi wa salam) said: “Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron, that same iron will be in his hand and he will continue stabbing himself with it in the fire of Hell, living therein forever. And whoever drinks poison to kill himself, he will continue sipping it in the fire of Hell, living therein forever. And whoever jumps from a mountain to kill himself, he will continue jumping in the fire of Hell, living therein forever.” Sahih Bukhari (5442) and Muslim (109)

In another a example it is explained further; It was narrated that Jundub ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (RA) said: The Messenger of ALLAH (sallahu alayhi wa salam) said: “Among those who came before you there was a man who was wounded and he panicked, so he took a knife and cut his hand with it, and the blood did not stop flowing until he died. ALLAH said: ‘My slave hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise to him.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3276; Muslim, 113. and In this instance our Prophet Muhammed (sallahu alayhi wa salam) even did not go or lead the janaza (funeral prayer) to deter such actions by a Muslim.

So if you read or hear in the news or see some political figure or a religious figure trying to state that it is “ITS A LIE”… ALLAH, the Prophet Muhammed (sallahu alayhi wa salam) Islam and Sharia Law prohibits such actions by any individual Muslim or Non Muslim.
