Lahore: The Technical Education and Vocational Authority Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh signed an agreement in joint press conference at the TEVTA Secretariat Lahore to open three more universities in March 2018, next year.

This agreement was signed by the government of China and Pakistan in order to set up a historical first-ever technical and vocational training university of Pakistan is between Pakistan and China.

Proclaimed by the survey reports, for the admirable education, students enlisted by the university would receive a dual degree.

Mr. Sheikh said, “The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) have signed the formal agreement with three Chinese universities.”

“It is the historical day for Pakistan.”

“The campus will be constructed at the TEVTA’s Institute in Lahore with the cooperation of Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA),” he revealed the project to media, “After two years, a purpose-built campus with Chinese structural design will be established at Government Technical College Raiwind Road which has 157 kanals of land.”

On the question of University recruitment policy, Mr. Sheikh answered, “The University’s faculty will be hired strictly on merit bases and according to the rules of Higher Education Commission (HEC).

“The experts from Chinese Universities will help the management to set-up modern labs and syllabus to bring superior faculties in the institute.”

Vice President of the Tianjin University of Technical University Education (TUTE) Yan Bing said, “The University will be providing all required faculties to make sure that the university meets all quality standards.”

Furthermore, originally university would profound the program for 2,200 students and awarded 9 degree programs including BSc Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automobile, Architecture and Textile Designing.
