By Two minors were made nude in school of being accused of stealing Rs.70 (75 cents), according to news reports. The unethical and unbearable attitude of teacher was strongly condemned by the public and government officials.
One girl said that their teacher searched their bags and threatened them to return their classmates belongings which were of worth Rs. 70 otherwise they must remove their clothes in front of everyone.
One of the victim from Rani Durgawati HS School told, “I told the teacher we had not taken the money and if she wanted to bring a tantaric (the belonging from other girl) she was welcome to do so.”
“Even then the teacher made my friend and I strip in front of the class,” she continued, “The money was not found.”
The parents immediately went to the school authorities and made a complaint against the teacher Jyoti Gupta after the whole incident was being told by the girls.
Miss. Gupta told Head master, “The girl whose money had been stolen came and told about the theft and I asked the girl to search to search the bags of two girls, but she went to the class and told him to strip, which I had never authorized.
“I have been working for 17 years. Why would I do such a thing?”
The teacher further told that she had checked them privately not in front of anyone.
“Appropriate action would be taken if the charges are found to be true,” District Education Officer PP Singh said, “No one has a right to force anyone to stripe.”
