For a while now, some users have shown concern as to why one cannot block Facebook’s co-founder Mark Zuckerberg or his wife Priscilla Chan on the social media app even at the choice and wish to do so. A number of users that tried have always landed on an error message indicating process failure. This glitch, according to a report from Facebook is currently under check and that it will be resolve soonest.

A report from Buzfeed claims that Facebook is working on this issue and is hopeful of fixing soon. Zuckerberg, as reported on India Today Post, told the website that his team is working on to resolve this error but it could take some time.

It has been repeatedly reported and the messaged has nearly been memorized:  “You can report Pages or profiles if you think they’re doing something that goes against our Community Standards. Learn more. If you think you’re seeing this by mistake, please let us know.”

However, the error message still remains while the technical crew battles to get it resolved. Facebook further explained that the message has been there since 2010 when it was first reported. The circumstance for this as explained is that Zuckerberg and his wife have been blocked so many times on Facebook that the site’s algorithm doesn’t allow users to block them anymore.

Against this background, the public is informed that it isn’t just Chan or Zuckerberg who cannot be blocked on Facebook but anyone who’s been blocked for several times.

“I can tell you that people trying to block a profile or Page may see an error message if it has been blocked many times within a short period,” the Facebook spokesperson told Buzfeed. “This temporary message does not prevent people from reporting profiles or Pages that they think are in violation of our Community Standards.”
