WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

What happens to the three beautiful Bronx girls whose ‘mommy’ and our ‘angel’ will never come back home when cameras fade to black, journalists move on to other breaking crime news, colleagues put on their sirens heading to other crime scenes, New Yorkers busy again dealing with families of new gun violent victims and our collective anger of the assassination of Ms. Familia give ways to Yankees vs Boston Red Sox family quarrels? We know what happens to the girls. They’ve just became members of million plus gun violence orphanage club. Some of them will grow and join the million plus anti-gun violence movement. Some will be too distrust to be whole again. Some may even be victims of gun-violence themselves. While every new gun assassination stir our collective emotions against gun violence, their frequency shorten our anger to take any meaningful action to end them. I wish if we could tell Officer Miosotis Familia we’re truly sorry but rest in peace knowing that you’re last victim of gun violence. You’re not coming home but your girls, with thousands of new moms, shall not notice your absence. I pray voters would have Ms. Familia’s badge number when heading to polling sites for all elections to deny politicians and candidates in pockets of gun lobbyists from ever having access to decision-making positions. Finally, to these three new Bronx orphans, I, as an orphan myself, would be honored to be added to your family as a new uncle, indeed. BRONXATTITUDE! #bronxattitude
