On Wednesday 21 June 2017, according to the state media Royal palace in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia King Salman declared his son Muhammad bin Salman as Crown Prince.

A Royal command eliminated the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Najaf (who is 57 years old nephew of king) without any solid reason. He was next-in-line to the throne.

Saudi analyst Ahmad Al-Ibrahim told that Prince Muhammad was promoting modernization of Saudi Arabia’s economy as a way to modernize the desert kingdom’s ultra conservative social media.

He stated, “This guy is all about change.”

The official Saudi Press Agency stated that the newly announced crown prince was also named as deputy prime minister and additionally he would maintain his post as defense minister.
“The turn over at the top of Royal family was made by a majority decision of 31 of 34 members of kingdom’s allegiance council,

A Royal body set up to oversee succession.”

Over the past two years, reports had been written that, the King (Salman) would promote his now 31 years old son (Muhammad bin Salman), to inheriting the throne directly rather than working under Mohammed bin Najaf.
