Terrorism has become the order of the day as they keep on invading the land and capturing innocent souls. The Nigeria Government equipped its troops which had recently yielded valuable results.

Recently, Nigerian troops fought to rout remnants of Boko Haram in the North East and as a result, conquered the terrorist in Kaka local government area in Borno. The troops also rescued 455 captives which comprises of mostly women and children from the camp of the terrorists in a remote village located in kaka local government. While on this mission, the troops encountered some Boko Haram terrorists who withdrew in disarray when they couldn’t over power the firing tactics of the troops, they eventually abandoned the newly built logistic base and ran away as one of the Boko Haram insurgent was killed. The troops recovered 1 Gun truck, 1 Canter vehicle and 1 pickup from the terrorists. The gallant soldiers proceeded further to clear Bok, Misherde, Mika and Kutila also in Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State. Two freshly prepared suicide bombs were recovered from the scene which confirmed the troops a right time attack. Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman disclosed that in continuation of the clearance operation of suspected hideouts of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in their respective areas of responsibility, troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have been doing very well in fishing them out and rescuing innocent captives. The troops rescued the captives and took them to a safe place for shelter and food. Nigerians were really excited with this development.

The captives were also very excited. One of the captives confirmed that life has been miserable in the camp. They were being trained on how to shoot guns and some of the women were sexually harassed. They expressed their gratitude to the federal government for rescuing them from the hands of the “cold blooded hearts”

Few days ago, two teenage suicide bombers were shot dead by troops as they tried to sneak into Maiduguri. The civilian joint task force sighted the girls and traced them until they were shot dead and bombs were recovered and destroyed from their dead bodies.

Similarly, Boko Haram terrorists were sighted scavenging in some villages in northern Borno State, troops of 22 Brigade Garrison, Operation Lafiya Dole in conjunction with Civilian JTF, embarked on fighting patrol to Cingal, Murye and Mala Maja villages and cleared them of the terrorists. It was confirmed that during an encounter, the troops neutralised one Boko Haram terrorist and recovered 11 bicycles. The patrol team also rescued 211 civilians held captives by Boko Haram terrorists at Murye and Mala Maja village. In addition, the patrol team escorted 2 heavy duty trucks and 18 pick up vans to recover Internally Displaced Persons’ foodstuff from Mala Maja. They were also being given medical service.

Peace is gradually being restored in Nigeria as some of the captives were being rescued. Thanks to the federal Government for investing in this troops but Nigerians still awaits more rescues.
