The Attorney General won a major court victory in his lawsuit against Donald Trump and Trump University. This week’s ruling by the Appellate Division will allow the Attorney General’s entire fraud case to move forward as he seeks restitution for the more than 5,000 consumers allegedly scammed. The suit, filed in 2013, charges that Trump operated a sham for-profit college from 2005-2011, misleading consumers into paying for a series of expensive courses that did not deliver on their promises.
