To all my Muslim Brothers and sisters.
Following is a reminder to all of us, especially during the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I hope we all take heed to these Islamic commandments towards our spouses.
“And among His Signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts: verily in that are Signs for those who reflect”. 30:21
“The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character. And the best of you are those who are best to their women.”
“The best amongst you are those who are best to their wives, and I am the best to my wives.” Prophet Muhammad, PBUH.
Any cultural practices contrary to the above commandments are outside of Islam and must be rejected. God bless!
