Description: The appointment of Deputy Inspector Olufunmilola Obe as Commander of the 28th Precinct of the New York Police Department (NYPD) is unprecedented and has made her the highest ranked Diaspora African police officer in the United States. It is also a huge cause for celebration for Continental Africans in the New York City who have come together to formerly welcome and celebrate one of their own.

Description: Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration of the Emancipation of slavery. There will be food, music, positive poetry and rap, vending booths, games, basketball tournament, and more.
