I know your eyes and ears are glued to your broadcasting medium in Connecticut with pain and disbelieve like ours. Because this tragedy has no possible rationality nor does it have a place in a civilized society.
Now we can do what we have been doing all along after all the previous tragedies, allow NRA to tell us we needed more weapons to stop these heavily armed monsters.
President Obama cried reading his brief nationally televised statements, but crying alone will not prevent another tragedy, nor would stop the trend of innocent Americans from being slaughtered for no reason.
While NRA’s argument of criminals not guns kill is partially true, the availability of these military weapons to these monsters made committing their atrocities a lot easier.
The level of societal violence, especially gun violence, in the United States is unsustainable.
It is very unfortunate that there are no longer places or persons immune to these random mass shootings.
Please join us in reaching out to your neighbors to reaffirm your love and caring for them in the last half of PEACE DECEMBER.
May God rest these innocent souls in peace! Our condolences go out to the families and the nation.
