UAE announces four-day holiday for 53rd national day celebration, prime minister charges citizens to “never slow down”
The UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has declared a two-day public holiday for federal ministries and entities to celebrate the nation’s 53rd National Day.
The holiday will be observed on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3, 2024, giving residents a four-day weekend with the inclusion of the regular Saturday-Sunday break. Regular work is set to resume on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The extended holiday offers an opportunity for residents to commemorate the nation’s progress and unity while enjoying time with family and friends.
As part of the celebrations, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shared a motivational message on his official X account. In an inspiring video captioned, “When you wake up … you better start running … never slow down,” Sheikh Mohammed urged UAE citizens and residents to pursue relentless determination and excellence.
His analogy emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in all aspects of life, aligning with the nation’s vision for continued growth and ambition.
