Pakistani forces step up counter-terrorism efforts, neutralize 90 militants in 4,021 operations

In a press conference on Thursday, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), revealed that the Pakistan military conducted 4,021 security operations last month, resulting in the deaths of at least 90 militants across the country.

General Sharif emphasised that the armed forces are fully committed to their professional responsibilities and will not compromise on national security.

He urged citizens to play their part in making Pakistan a stronger country and addressing challenges effectively, stressing that a secure Pakistan is essential for a stronger nation.

The ISPR chief provided details of counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, where 4,021 operations were conducted last month, killing 90 terrorists.

He also disclosed that over 1,030 intelligence-based operations are carried out daily by the army, intelligence agencies, police, and other law enforcement agencies.

General Sharif also confirmed that 193 soldiers and officers of the Pakistan Army have “embraced martyrdom” in the past eight months, highlighting the sacrifices made by the military in the fight against militancy.
