The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand who is also the Minister of Defense Yingluck Shinawatra and several other members of the Thai Royal Government will early next month visit three Africa countries including Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda

A A statement released today by Uganda’s state house indicates that Shinawatra will arrive in Uganda on August 1st, 2013 for an official state visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Yingluck Shinawatra whose African tour will see her also visit Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda to strengthen economic ties between African countries and Thailand will hold tete a tete meeting with President Museveni and later have a bilateral meeting that will include technocrats from both countries.

President Museveni was in Thailand on an official visit in 2012 during which the two leaders discussed various bilateral and regional issues, especially trade, investment and technical cooperation. They also signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of bilateral consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and that of the Republic of Uganda.
