Jordan: One person killed as gunfire erupts near Israeli embassy in Amman
A pre-dawn shooting in a neighborhood in Amman, the capital city of Jordan, which houses the Israeli embassy, resulted in the death of a gunman and injuries to three members of Jordan’s security services, as reported by state media.
According to the Public Security Directorate, the incident unfolded early Sunday when a gunman targeted a security patrol operating in the area.

Security forces swiftly surrounded the individual, who responded with further gunfire. Authorities applied the rules of engagement, leading to the death of the assailant.
The official Petra news agency confirmed that three public security personnel sustained injuries during the confrontation and are currently receiving medical treatment. The situation is under investigation, and further updates are expected.
