Video: Mass exodus from eastern Gaza as Israeli escalating bombardment intensifies
In the eastern part of Gaza City, the Shuja’iyya neighborhood witnessed a mass exodus late Saturday night as hundreds of Palestinians were forced to flee following fresh evacuation orders and threats of aerial bombardment by the Israeli army.
Local reports indicate that dozens of families abandoned their homes on foot, carrying only essentials such as belongings and blankets, as they sought safety in the southern and central parts of Gaza City.
The evacuation followed explicit warnings from Israeli authorities of imminent attacks on the area. Severe fuel shortages and the destruction of civilian vehicles during Israeli ground incursions left many residents with no means of transportation, compelling them to walk long distances to seek refuge.

This latest displacement adds to the relentless upheaval experienced by Gaza’s population since the onset of what many describe as Israel’s ongoing genocide in the region.
Residents have faced repeated evacuation orders, often with no assurance of safety, as bombardments and ground operations continue to devastate the Strip.
Recent UN reports starkly underline the dire reality: no location in Gaza can be deemed safe. Israeli airstrikes have targeted all parts of the territory, including areas previously considered “safe” or “humanitarian.”
