Kuwaiti authority nullifies nationality of 1,158 people
Seven new decrees have been issued in Kuwait, leading to the withdrawal of Kuwaiti nationality from 1,158 individuals, including those who gained citizenship through them.
This decision was officially published on Sunday in the Gazette, Kuwait Al-Youm.
The legal foundation for withdrawal action was based on the Constitution, the Kuwaiti Nationality Law, and the recommendation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

The decrees highlighted Article 21 of the Nationality Law, which authorizes the withdrawal of nationality if it was obtained fraudulently, through false statements, or with incorrect documentation.
Most of those affected were 1,145 women, alongside individuals who acquired citizenship in connection with them.
The Council of Ministers will oversee the implementation of this decision upon the recommendation of the Minister of Interior.
This process ensures that the revocation applies not only to the original holders but also to those who received Kuwaiti nationality through their association.
