Four Thai nationals lost their lives and one was injured in Hezbollah’s rocket attacks on northern Israel on Thursday, confirmed Thailand’s Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa.

The minister expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and instructed the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv to assist those affected.

The attacks began with rockets striking farmland near the border town of Metula, claiming the lives of an Israeli farmer and four Thai agricultural workers. A subsequent rocket attack near Kibbutz Afek, close to the city of Haifa, resulted in the deaths of two Israeli citizens.

Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa urged all parties involved to pursue peace, emphasizing the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict on innocent civilians. His statement comes amidst escalating tensions in the region, with Hezbollah’s actions contributing to the growing instability.

He said, “I instructed our Embassy in Tel Aviv last night to extend every and all assistance to the injured and families of the deceased, and extend my profound condolences to them for their immense loss,” Maris said.

“Thailand continues to strongly urge all parties to return to the path of peace, in the name of the innocent civilians gravely impacted by this prolonged and deepening conflict,” he said.
