Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have congratulated Donald Trump on his US presidential election win.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that the Saudi leaders sent their words of congratulation after Trump secured his return to the White House, defeating Democrat candidate Kamala Harris.

The royal family’s gesture signifies a positive relationship between the two nations, building on their existing diplomatic ties.

Mohammed bin Salman, in particular, has a history of fostering strong connections with US leaders. In 2017, he received a congratulatory call from then-President Donald Trump after becoming the Crown Prince.

The exchange demonstrated the mutual interest in cooperation between the two countries. Under Mohammed bin Salman’s leadership, Saudi Arabia has undergone significant social and economic reforms, including the Saudi Vision 2030 program, aimed at reducing the country’s reliance on oil.

The Saudi government’s congratulatory message to Trump reflects the kingdom’s desire to maintain a collaborative relationship with the US. As the US-Saudi partnership continues to evolve, it will likely focus on key areas such as security, trade, and regional stability.
