Muslim World League Condemns Israeli Plan to Reoccupy Gaza

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation government’s plan to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip, describing it as a dangerous escalation that threatens any prospects for a just and lasting peace.
In a statement released by the General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, declared, “This decision represents a dangerous escalation that undermines all prospects for ending the conflict and achieving a just and lasting peace.”
He noted that the move perpetuates policies that disregard “the life, dignity, and fundamental rights of the Palestinian people,” in violation of humanitarian principles, international law, and globally recognized norms in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Dr. Al-Issa also warned of severe humanitarian repercussions, especially given the ongoing siege, deprivation, and displacement of Gaza’s residents.
He urged the international community to take urgent, united action to fulfill its moral and legal obligations—calling for decisive steps to end the violence, uphold justice, and bring relief to what he described as “one of the most tragic human crises of our time.”
