Arab-Islamic Alliance Stands Firm Against Trump’s Gaza Vision

In a sweeping rejection of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial plan to take over Gaza, Muslim nations have united behind an alternative Arab-Islamic proposal that prioritizes reconstruction under Palestinian administration.
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) officially backed the Egyptian-led initiative, transforming it into a broader regional plan after the Arab League’s endorsement earlier in the week.
Meeting in Jeddah, the 57-member bloc reinforced its opposition to Trump’s vision, which included U.S. control of Gaza and the forced relocation of Palestinians.
Instead, the Arab-Islamic proposal champions a trust fund for rebuilding Gaza and seeks global support from the EU, Russia, China, and Japan.
While facing resistance from Washington and Tel Aviv, the initiative marks a pivotal effort to counter displacement and assert Palestinian sovereignty.
