The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the massacre committed by Israeli forces on December 13, 2024, in the Nuseirat camp.

The attack claimed dozens of lives, injured many, and caused widespread destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

The OIC called the reckless attack “an extension of organized state terrorism and the ongoing crime of genocide for more than fourteen months against the Palestinian people.”

In a statement, the organization welcomed the United Nations General Assembly’s recent adoption of two crucial resolutions. The first calls for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire, alongside measures to facilitate humanitarian aid delivery to all parts of Gaza. The second resolution supports the continuation of UNRWA’s mandate, which provides essential services to Palestinian refugees.

It renewed its call for the international community to act decisively while urging global powers to “compel Israel, the occupying power, to abide by international law and implement relevant United Nations resolutions.”

The Organization emphasized that failure to hold Israel accountable perpetuates the cycle of violence and humanitarian suffering in Gaza.

The OIC reiterated the necessity of ensuring justice and upholding international legal frameworks to address the plight of the Palestinian people. It also underlined the critical importance of protecting civilians and ending the ongoing atrocities in the region.
