The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned Israel’s killing of 33 Palestinians in a crowded Gaza camp, calling it an act of “organized terrorism” and “continuous genocide” against the Palestinian people.

In a statement released in Arabic, the OIC described the attack on the Nuseirat camp’s post office as “horrific,” emphasizing the persistent violence in Gaza, which has seen numerous civilian casualties in densely populated areas.

“The act is considered an extension of organized terrorism and continuous genocide that has been ongoing for more than fourteen months against the Palestinian people,” the organization said in a statement.

Families of the victims gathered at Al-Awda Hospital to grieve, recite verses from the Qur’an, and prepare for burials. Among the mourners was Suheil Mattar, who lost his grandchildren and daughter-in-law in the attack. “They have killed the hope and optimism,” Mattar lamented.

The conflict, which has persisted for over 14 months, has taken a devastating toll. Gaza health officials reported Friday that at least 44,875 people have been killed, with more than 105,454 others wounded.

Despite calls for ceasefires and peace negotiations, civilians in Gaza continue to bear the brunt of the ongoing violence, as hopes for a resolution remain elusive.
