Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has condemned the recent attack on a coalition forces camp in Seiyun, Yemen, which resulted in the deaths of two people and injured another member of Saudi forces.

In a statement, Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi strongly denounced the “treacherous” assault, expressing solidarity with the coalition forces and mourning the loss.

He highlighted the coalition’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian and development efforts aimed at promoting Yemen’s stability, security, and unity amid challenging circumstances.

The GCC Secretary-General reiterated the coalition’s role in supporting Yemen’s path to peace and emphasized that such violent acts threaten regional stability. He underscored the dedication of the coalition forces in contributing to both humanitarian work and development initiatives, which he views as critical to sustaining long-term peace in the region.

The statement by Albudaiwi reflects the GCC’s continued commitment to safeguarding security and supporting Yemen amid efforts to restore order and address humanitarian needs.

The GCC leader called for increased international support to ensure the safety of coalition forces and bolster Yemen’s path toward unity and peace.
