King Salman’s health: Saudi Crown Prince offers reassurance amid regional turmoil

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has addressed concerns about King Salman’s health during a Cabinet session, expressing gratitude for the good wishes and prayers for the king’s swift recovery.

The cabinet meeting also highlighted the crown prince’s initiatives to safeguard children in cyberspace and empower women in cybersecurity, launched in 2020.

These initiatives have made significant progress, as noted by the crown prince at the Global Cybersecurity Forum in Riyadh, enabling global leaders to develop effective cybersecurity policies.

The Cabinet discussed regional and international developments, reaffirming support for Palestine and Lebanon. They urged the international community to uphold security and stability in the region and implement United Nations resolutions.

Additionally, the Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh Ministerial in Washington, marking the coalition’s 10th anniversary. They reiterated the Kingdom’s stance against extremism, terrorism, and its financing.

The Cabinet also reviewed Saudi Arabia’s contributions to addressing global economic challenges. They emphasized investing in sustainability and strengthening the multilateral trading system to foster economic growth, human development, and reduce economic risks. This aligns with the crown prince’s Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the Saudi economy and reduce its reliance on oil.

Under Mohammed bin Salman’s leadership, Saudi Arabia has been implementing various reforms. As the crown prince and prime minister, he has introduced social and economic changes. His initiatives have contributed to greater economic diversification, with a focus on non-oil sectors like technology and tourism.
