UAE reaffirms support for Lebanon’s unity, announces $100 million aid package amid crisis
The United Arab Emirates reiterated its steadfast commitment to Lebanon’s unity, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, according to a statement from the foreign ministry released on Tuesday.
“The United Arab Emirates expressed its deep concern over developments in Lebanon, as well as the repercussions of this dangerous situation and impact on regional stability,” the statement said.
The UAE also “reaffirmed its unwavering position towards the unity of Lebanon, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, emphasizing the country’s steadfast support for the people of Lebanon during this challenging period.”

In response to the situation, the ministry said that the UAE president and Abu Dhabi ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed have ordered the delivery of an urgent $100 million relief package for Lebanon.
The UAE further stressed the “necessity of concerted international endeavors to halt the escalation and prevent further loss of life,” while emphasizing the importance of ensuring the protection of civilians in accordance with international law and treaties.
