Kuwait Drug Bust: Ministry of Interior seizes 24kg narcotics, unlicensed firearms
In Kuwait, its Ministry of Interior has announced the seizure of approximately 24 kilograms of assorted drugs, including 28,500 psychotropic pills, six unlicensed guns, and ammunition.
The bust, part of an ongoing campaign to prevent narcotics from entering the country, resulted in the arrest of seven suspects.
According to a ministry statement, the accused and seized items have been referred to relevant authorities for legal action.
The ministry emphasised its continued efforts to monitor and thwart drug trafficking attempts, urging citizens to report any suspicious activity via its emergency number or the General Directorate for Drug Control hotline.
The major drug bust is a reaffirmation of the ministry’s commitment to combating narcotics and maintaining public safety, with a clear message to drug traffickers that their attempts will not go undetected.
