Donations to National Charity Campaign in Ramadan exceed SR1.8 billion
The National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan) proudly declares that contributions to the fourth National Campaign for Charitable Work have surpassed SR1.8 billion during Ramadan, encompassing the period from the 5th to the 30th of the holy month. M
This notable achievement commenced with substantial donations from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, collectively amounting to SR70 million.
Throughout the duration of the campaign, the benevolence of donors was prominently displayed through more than 16 million transactions, indicating widespread involvement and dedication to philanthropic causes. A significant portion of these funds, surpassing SR854 million, fortified the Ehsan Endowment Fund, providing support to over 1,700 civil society organizations.
Furthermore, the campaign facilitated the collection of Zakat Al-Fitr, exceeding SR36 million through over 390,000 transactions on the platform’s application and website. This contribution underscores the community’s active participation in fulfilling religious obligations and aiding those in need.
In total, the Ehsan platform has directed over SR6.8 billion in donations, positively impacting more than 4.8 million beneficiaries across various sectors, including education, healthcare, social welfare, food aid, housing, religious support, and assistance for the insolvent.
