Iraqi PM opens Saudi pavilion at Baghdad International Fair
The Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, formally inaugurated the Saudi pavilion at the 47th edition of the Baghdad International Fair, marking Saudi Arabia as the esteemed guest of honor for this year’s exhibition. The ceremony underscores the commitment to fostering economic ties between the two nations.
This distinguished event features the participation of 95 Saudi companies spanning various sectors, all aiming to capitalize on trade exchange opportunities. By facilitating business meetings and fostering collaboration through the signing of trade and export agreements, Saudi Arabia seeks to deepen its economic footprint within Iraq, a pivotal international market with immense potential.
Saudi Arabia’s robust presence at the fair is indicative of a strategic initiative to promote its national goods and services. The 47th edition of the Baghdad International Fair commenced on Wednesday with an impressive gathering of 840 companies from diverse countries. Notably, this edition stands out due to the substantial participation of 20 countries from around the world. Iraqi companies, numbering 226, spanning sectors such as electricity, healthcare, telecommunications, agriculture, and more, are actively participating in the exhibition, showcasing the country’s diverse economic landscape.
This impactful international exposition is scheduled to continue in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, from January 10 to 19, providing an invaluable platform for cross-border collaboration, trade expansion, and showcasing the economic prowess of participating nations.
