Fuad Hussein, the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, has called for a unified international stance to put an end to Israel’s ongoing infringements against the Palestinian population.

Hussein’s plea was made during a crucial meeting with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, where they extensively discussed the evolving situation in Palestine, as disclosed by an official statement from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

Hussein emphasized the pressing need for a united front among Arab and Islamic nations to promptly take action and curb the persistent transgressions committed by Israeli occupying forces against the Palestinian people. The Foreign Minister urged Arab nations to assume a decisive role in enforcing international resolutions that safeguard the legitimate rights of Palestinians.

Furthermore, Hussein reiterated the Iraqi government’s unwavering position regarding developments in the Gaza Strip. He revealed that significant diplomatic efforts are underway to forestall any potential displacement of the Palestinian population to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. This highlights Iraq’s commitment to a peaceful resolution and the protection of Palestinian rights in the face of ongoing challenges.
