In response to the escalating military situation and the threat to defenseless civilians in Gaza, Saudi Arabia has issued a call for an immediate Ministerial Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The gathering, slated for Wednesday in Jeddah, aims to address the pressing concerns surrounding the conflict.

This summons has been extended by Saudi Arabia, which currently presides over the Islamic Summit and the Executive Committee of the OIC.

The Organization’s Executive Committee will convene an urgent open-ended extraordinary meeting at the ministerial level, specifically focusing on the escalating military situation in Gaza and its neighboring areas.

Furthermore, the meeting will seek to tackle the deteriorating conditions that jeopardize the lives of civilians and the overall security and stability of the region. It is essential to note that this extraordinary meeting is scheduled for October 18, 2023, and will be held at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah Governorate.
