Public Safety Solutions
Dear concerned New Yorkers:
We’ve found the most successful and least expensive formula for maintaining equal public safety and quality of life in all of our neighborhoods, the fast expanding grassroots weekly Peacemakers Dinners.
Crime, violence, bullying, abuse, injustice, bias and poverty are not inevitable. They are committed/nurtured by folks we know, love, live with, elect and hire.
Instead of paying high figures to criminologists, psychologists, sociologists, economists and all other degreed experts to tell us about what ills our neighborhoods, Community Public Safety Partnership (CPSP) deals directly with real local experts, former and current gang members and neighborhood drug dealers. Their testimonials during these dinners are from the heart, their guidance from experience and the time spent mentoring to our younger generations are their redemptive contributions for their remorseful past. And trust us, nobody knows the stuff better.
So to meet them half way in making this a permanent solutions to violence and poverty, we highly suggest the following:
1. Religious leaders open their houses of worship doors for these dinners.
2. Community leaders participate in these dinners.
3. Political leaders allocate small funds for food and refreshments for the dinners in their districts.
4. Local businesses, charities and families with financial means help underwrite all expenses associated with these dinners.
5. Parents and teachers bring their youngsters to these dinners
6. Law enforcement communities support the dinners taking place in their jurisdictions. And
7. The media help romanticize these dinners as they do for heinous crimes and indecency.
