The three sentences from a dark skinned fifteen year old Montgomery schoolgirl spoken on Wednesday, March 2, 1955 that helped dismantle the Jim Crow Laws.
“It’s my constitutional right.”
“I paid the fare.”
“I will not move.”
On Wednesday, March 02, 2016, New Yorkers from all walks of life and backgrounds are converging to Peace December Headquarters in the Bronx to make a pledge to this brave girl that from this day on, March 2nd shall be celebrated in:
1. All educational institutions
2. All legislative chambers, and
3. All cultural institutions
