Saudi Red Crescent assures readiness amid heavy rain warnings in Makkah
In response to heavy rain alerts issued by the National Center of Meteorology, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Makkah has heightened its preparedness to ensure uninterrupted emergency services.
The SRCA confirmed full operational readiness across its command and control centers, ambulance stations, rapid response teams, and volunteer units.
Despite adverse weather, the authority emphasized that its ambulance services remain fully functional.
With 98 centers across the region, SRCA has deployed 1,420 personnel, including doctors, specialists, and emergency medical technicians, supported by 149 vehicles. These include advanced ambulances, disaster response units, and an air ambulance for critical emergencies.
The authority urged residents to adhere to safety guidelines, exercise caution on roads, and cooperate with emergency teams by clearing pathways for ambulances.
