According to Uganda police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, the plane left Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport for South Sudan but on the way it was discovered that the weather was bad and so it turned back.

However, before it reached Entebbe airport, it ran short of fuel and the experienced pilot crash made an emergency landing on one of the highways in central Uganda, about 70 kms from Entebbe airport.

“Due to bad weather, the pilot decided to return to Entebbe airport but ran out of fuel, hence the emergence landing,” said Enanga.
