The Muslim World League (MWL) has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation government’s recent approval of plans to construct new settlements in the West Bank and around occupied Jerusalem. The League also criticized recent remarks by Israel’s foreign minister rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, describing them as further provocation and a blatant dismissal of international legitimacy.

In a statement released by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, accused the Israeli government of pursuing policies that disregard the lives and legitimate rights of Palestinians while violating international laws and humanitarian values.

Dr. Al-Issa warned that the “extremist government’s criminal behavior” not only threatens regional stability but also undermines every opportunity to end the conflict and achieve peace. He reaffirmed the justice of the Palestinian cause and the historical and legal right of Palestinians to their land.

Calling on the global community to act decisively, he urged nations to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities by ending what he described as a “human tragedy” and supporting the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and statehood.
