The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has approved a recommendation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to fully support Iranian pilgrims currently in the Kingdom.

According to an official statement, the King has directed the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to provide all necessary services to Iranian pilgrims. This includes ensuring their well-being, comfort, and safety throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia until conditions permit their safe return home.

“The Ministry has been instructed to facilitate all the needs of the Iranian pilgrims and to provide them with comprehensive support and services until it is safe for them to return to their homeland and families,” the royal directive stated.

The move comes in the wake of growing regional instability following Israeli strikes on Iranian targets and Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks. With international flight routes disrupted and heightened security risks, thousands of pilgrims from Iran have been caught in a precarious situation after completing the Hajj rituals.

Saudi Arabia’s decision underscores its commitment to the sanctity of the pilgrimage and the safety of all Muslims, regardless of nationality.

The directive is being widely interpreted as a message of compassion and responsibility during a time of regional uncertainty.

Officials at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah have begun implementing emergency protocols to house, feed, and medically care for the stranded pilgrims. Coordination with other government agencies is also underway to ensure smooth logistics and communication with the Iranian authorities through diplomatic channels.
