A Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, flipping upside down upon impact.

The incident left at least 18 people injured, all of whom were transported to hospitals, according to airport officials.

Despite the severity of the crash, the airport remains operational, with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada leading an investigation into the cause.

Toronto Pearson CEO Deborah Flint confirmed that the aircraft carried four crew members and 76 passengers, including 22 Canadians.

“We are very grateful that there was no loss of life and relatively minor injuries,” Flint stated.

Canada’s Transportation Minister Anita Anand assured the public that all 80 passengers onboard were accounted for. “I’m closely following the serious incident at Pearson Airport involving Delta Airlines flight 4819 from Minneapolis,” she wrote on X.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford echoed the relief over the absence of fatalities, confirming that provincial officials are coordinating with airport authorities to provide necessary assistance. “There are no casualties,” Ford stated, emphasizing ongoing support for the response efforts.

While investigations continue, authorities remain focused on ensuring passenger safety and determining the circumstances leading to the crash.
