A man in Miami shot and wounded a father and son on a beach, later telling police he believed they were Palestinians, according to the Miami Herald.

The suspect, identified as Mordechai Brafman, admitted his actions during his arrest. His arrest form states he “spontaneously stated that while he was driving his truck, he saw two Palestinians and shot and killed both.”

Authorities confirmed that the victims survived and were hospitalized, but did not specify their nationalities.

However, reports from Instagram account @South_Florida_Simchas identified them as an Israeli father and son visiting Miami.

This incident comes amid a rise in violent attacks against Palestinians in the US following Israel’s war on Gaza.

Among these, a 41-year-old woman in Texas was accused of attempting to drown a three-year-old Palestinian-American girl.

The shooting in Miami highlights growing concerns over hate-driven violence linked to international conflicts, with authorities now investigating the case further.

48,271 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s war on Gaza, while 111,693 people have been wounded.

The Government Media Office has updated its death toll to at least 61,709 people, saying thousands missing under the rubble are now presumed dead.

On the side of Israel, 1,139 people were killed during the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack, and more than 200 were taken captive.
