North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has launched a scathing attack on US President Donald Trump’s plan to take over Gaza, warning that the proposal is crushing any remaining hopes of safety and peace for Palestinians.
“The world is now boiling like a porridge pot over the US’ bombshell declaration,” KCNA stated, condemning Washington’s hegemonic ambitions. The report did not mention Trump by name but described the US as a “ferocious robber” that thrives on “slaughter and robbery”.
The commentary also accused the Trump administration of attempting to redraw international borders, citing its calls to seize the Panama Canal and Greenland, along with its controversial push to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the ‘Gulf of America’.
“The US should awaken from its anachronistic daydream and stop at once the act of encroaching upon the dignity and sovereignty of other countries and nations,” KCNA declared, portraying Washington’s foreign policy as a desperate pursuit of global dominance.
North Korea’s rebuke adds to the growing wave of global backlash against Trump’s highly controversial Gaza proposal, which has already been condemned by the UN, European leaders, and Arab states as a blatant violation of international law.
