Israeli forces have reportedly started retreating from positions in Gaza’s Rafah, moving toward the Philadelphi Corridor along the Egypt-Gaza border, as reported by pro-Hamas media early Sunday.
This comes as a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict is scheduled to commence at 6:30 a.m. GMT, according to mediator Qatar, following approval of the truce and a hostage-prisoner exchange deal by Israel’s cabinet.

In preparation for the ceasefire, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a stern warning to Gaza residents, cautioning them to avoid approaching military forces or the buffer zone near the border.
IDF spokesman Avichay Adraee posted on Telegram, “We urge you not to head towards the buffer zone or IDF forces for your safety… Moving from south to north via Gaza Valley puts you at risk.”
