The United Arab Emirates marked a significant achievement in space exploration with the successful launch of the MBZ-SAT, the region’s most advanced observation satellite, on Tuesday night, as reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, MBZ-SAT is a testament to the UAE’s growing capabilities in space technology.

Developed entirely by Emirati engineers at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), the satellite is designed to revolutionize disaster management and enhance lives globally through its state-of-the-art imaging capabilities.

The MBZ-SAT generates high-resolution images with precision down to one square meter, surpassing the center’s current productivity tenfold.

Its ability to share data three times faster ensures real-time benefits across numerous sectors, WAM noted.

The final preparations for the satellite were meticulously carried out by the MBRSC team at SpaceX facilities in the US, culminating in a flawless launch.
