The Gaza Strip witnessed another harrowing day on Friday, as at least 17 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli strikes amid an ongoing genocide now lasting over 15 months.

In central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp, an airstrike claimed seven lives and left others injured, according to medical sources and witnesses.

Northern Gaza also experienced devastation, with paramedics recovering the body of a Palestinian following Israeli tank operations in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

In eastern Gaza City, three members of the Fannana family perished in a strike on their home, while another attack in Shejaiya killed four Palestinians. Further south, a strike on Khan Younis took the life of one man, injured two others, and led to the death of another victim who succumbed to wounds sustained earlier in Al-Mawasi, designated by Israel as a “safe humanitarian zone.”

Israel’s ongoing ground offensive in northern Gaza has led to widespread destruction of homes and displacement of residents. Palestinians allege that these actions aim to seize the area, while Israel claims its objective is to prevent Hamas from regrouping.

The humanitarian crisis intensifies as limited aid—including food, medicine, and fuel—reaches the region, placing Gaza’s population at the brink of famine.

The conflict, part of a broader war, has resulted in over 46,000 deaths—primarily women and children—since October 7, 2023.

Adding to the international scrutiny, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant face arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes in Gaza. Israel is also under a genocide investigation by the International Court of Justice.
