Israeli airstrikes early Thursday morning targeted multiple areas in Gaza, killing at least 13 Palestinians and injuring dozens, the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported.

The attacks struck both the northern and southern regions of the Strip, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.

In southern Gaza, Israeli warplanes bombed a makeshift tent sheltering displaced families in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. The strike claimed 11 lives, including women and children, and left 15 others injured, some critically.

Meanwhile, in northern Gaza, an airstrike killed two brothers, while Israeli artillery shelled parts of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Since the conflict began in October 2023, the toll has risen to 45,553 documented Palestinian deaths, with over 108,379 injuries reported. Thousands more remain trapped under rubble, unreachable by rescue teams due to the ongoing strikes.

Despite urgent calls from the UN Security Council for a ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice to prevent further genocide, the violence continues unabated, exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
