Kuwait: Ministry of interior cracks down on residency, labor violators
The Ministry of Interior in Kuwait announced the arrest of 317 violators of residency and labor laws and the deportation of 610 people following inspection tours conducted from December 1 to 5, 2024.
In a press statement, the Ministry noted that the efforts were part of directives issued by H. E. Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior. The actions are also in line with the ongoing intensive security deployment across all governorates to address legal violations and enforce order.
During this period, the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations carried out 20 inspection tours, leading to the arrests and subsequent measures against violators.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying security campaigns nationwide, targeting those who breach residency laws. It stressed that accountability applies to both employees and employers, ensuring that violations are addressed comprehensively.
The ongoing operations reflect Kuwait’s firm stance on maintaining legal compliance and its dedication to safeguarding national security and labor market integrity.
